Lathed top and stem, CNC’d base using a grasshopper program to mimic a water drop on Mars



I first glued up a massive 3’8” x 3’8” x 15” block of wood for the top that I then put on the lathe and made the bowl like top. Then I took a 10” x10” x 3’6” long block of wood to lathe the stem. The base was CNC’d using a grasshopper program to mimic a water drop on Mars. I had the whole piece painted in a light blue to white ombre’ in high gloss paint
