How does one, hand bend 9 steel ribs to simultaneously and perfectly come to two exact parallel points? Through a painstakingly exacting process... Henry DuFauw and I first made an aluminum model to figure out how to create 9 compound curves for each rib that will then come up and meet at two point and have all the ribs be parallel. This was a challenging task! We had to hand bend each one and then fit them into a brace like system to hold the bends in place while we welded them together. After we had the piece finished, we had it mirror polished.
